With the meal kit delivery space reaching $5 Billion in sales in the U.S. alone in 2017, there seems to be lots of room to develop new ways of delivering fresh foods to consumers. How about semi–prepared?

This is the challenge Suvoi set for us: how to develop an offering of sous–vide cooked products for consumers.

What is sous–vide you might ask? It’s French for under vacuum and is simply a method of cooking food in a plastic pouch using a water bath. The water is kept at a constant temperature, allowing the food to be cooked in its own juices and flavours and thus virtually eliminating over–cooking. This method is widely used by high–end restaurants and is making its way to at–home gourmet cooks as well.

Everyday Luxury

Suvoi is tapping into the can’t–cook, won’t–cook audience of folks who love to entertain but wisely opt to not spend 24 hours making brisket when they can get it delivered.

We developed a brand voice and product offering that reflect the ease of use and supply chain transparency dear to the co–founders and important to their audience. It’s everyday luxury without the hefty price tag. It’s being a gourmet cook without the clutter of all the gear and more time to spend with your loved ones.

Customer discovery done right.

We worked with the Suvoi team to stage a pre–launch event in Miami, showcasing the initial recipes. It was an opportunity to engage with potential clients and investors in an intimate, festive setting and build momentum leading up to brand roll out. It was also an opportunity to test the model and hear direct feedback. The madeleines helped.
